Some stories are found in books. Others are written in everyday life.

Our bestselling coffee, Gothic Roast, is made for the moments that draw us in and make us lose track of time—a compelling chapter, a lingering conversation, a fresh idea, or the simple pleasure of a well-made cup. Bold enough for espresso lovers yet smooth enough to enjoy every day, it's the coffee we reach for when curiosity strikes and inspiration takes hold.

With a rich, full-bodied profile and deep, comforting character, Gothic Roast belongs beside a favorite novel, a morning journal, a creative pursuit, or a story worth savoring just a little longer.

Maker's Note:

Great coffee begins with great people.

We're proud to partner with a family-owned and operated California roastery whose roots trace back to a small, family-run operation dedicated to quality, craftsmanship, and consistency. Today, they continue to roast with the same care and attention that built their reputation, serving both established coffee brands and independent businesses like Poplar & Prose.

To ensure peak freshness, coffee is roasted in small batches throughout the week using a demand-driven schedule. Orders are often packed and shipped shortly after roasting, minimizing storage time and helping every bag arrive with the character and quality it was intended to deliver.

It's coffee we're proud to share—and one we look forward to being part of your next chapter.

Complimentary shipping on two or more bags of coffee and/or tea.
