FIELD NOTES
We’re off to Baltimore today for one last hurrah before school starts next week.
The kids love staying in hotels, but what they really love is the National Aquarium. We’ve made a bit of a tradition out of it: check in Sunday afternoon, head to the Aquarium Sunday evening when things are a little quieter, and then go out for dinner.
We bought an annual pass this year, which makes a lot of sense for a family of five if you’re going to visit more than once. So, naturally, we’ll be back at the Aquarium Monday morning.
This time, I’m hoping to work in a little grown-up time, too—a good coffee and a quick stop at a bookshop while we’re downtown. I’m calling it a plan, though we’ll see how well that plan survives five people and a Monday morning.
